Yawhima (B/A), Feb. 20, GNA - Living Grace Ministries in Sunyani has presented items worth about GH¢1,000 to the inmates of Compassion is Love in Action (Cilia), an orphanage for needy children at Yawhima in the Sunyani Municipality.

The items included 10 packs of toilet rolls, two bags of perfumed rice, a box of biscuits, a box of indomie instant noodles, a box of waterguard washing powder, three dozens of medi-soft cake soap, two 20-litre containers of frytol cooking oil and assorted soft drinks.

Bishop Richard Owusu, General Overseer of the Ministry making the presentation on Valentine's Day, said the occasion demanded the expression of love among humanity therefore, the Ministry deemed it a social obligation to show love to the inmates.

Mr Francis Owusu Ansah, National Communications Director of the Ministry, promised that the donation would be an annual affair to show compassion and love to the less privileged children and urged other churches and organisations to emulate the gesture.

Reverend Mrs Charlotte Osei Kwarteng, Founder of the Home, expressed gratitude to the Ministry and said their major challenge was finance, saying '...financing is mainly from my personal resources'.

She said the Home needed vehicles to convey the inmates on educational trips and for other general duties.

Rev. Kwarteng appealed to individuals, philanthropists, charitable and corporate organisations for assistance to the Home.
