Nkawie, (Ash), Aug 9, GNA – The Nkawie Circuit Court presided over by Justice Frank Owusu Afriyie has sentenced two people, a farmer and a driver, to a total fine of GH¢480.00 for disturbing the proceedings of the court.
Ama Salina and Job Donkor would each pay GH¢240.00 or serve 24 months imprisonment in default.
They had accompanied their relatives standing trial for assault and threat of death to the court and immediately after the case had been adjourned, they engaged in heated verbal exchanges.
That disrupted the court's proceedings and they were quickly arrested by the police.
Ama and Donkor pleaded guilty to the offence.
