CAC Elder ask Ghanaians to let Christ inspire national development

Asasetre (W/R), April 2, GNA - Elder Peter Gyan, Nkroful Circuit Deacon of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) has noted that Ghana cannot advance socio-economically and politically if Ghanaians fails to allow Jesus Christ to take centre stage.

He said Christ is the very epitome of peace which was espoused in the scriptures before his departure from the world and that nothing can be sacrificed for that virtue.

Elder Gyan was delivering the sermon to Christians at Asasetre in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region on Palm Sunday to mark Christ triumphant entry into Jerusalem some 2000 years ago.

Preaching on the theme: "I dwell in they that dwell in me," Elder Gyan urged politicians from the political divide to see Christ as their role model in their discourse.

This, he said, would offer them the opportunity to conduct their election campaigns in peace devoid of insults and bitterness, which has the propensity to trigger violence as the nation goes to the polls in December.

Touching on the on-going bio-metric registration, Elder Gyan appealed to Ghanaians especially the youth to exercise decorum and avoid acts that would mar the exercise.

He asked Ghanaians to pray fervently for God to choose a leader to lead his people, adding “the voice of the people is the voice of God".
