Scholarship for studies in Ghana

WAAW foundation is pleased to announce the next round of its scholarship program, offering $500/year for need-based female African students admitted to a University, College or institute of higher learning in Africa. Scholarships are renewable annually, following proof of the student's continued academic performance.

To be eligible applicant must be a female students of African origin, living and studying in Africa; currently enrolled in undergraduate degree program; studying in a university or college in Africa; able to demonstrate financial need; excellent Academic Record.

Applicant must complete the validation to ensure they are eligible to apply. Please read and follow the application instructions carefully. Applicants must have all required materials and essay to begin their applications. Applicant application must be finished in one sitting, and include the following: Application form filled out online. Curriculum vita or resume submitted online; Responses to essay questions that address their future career goals, annual budget, and how they expect the WAAW scholarship to assist them in their education; Two letters of recommendation from academic mentors/advisors submitted online; Current University transcripts, where applicable.

Scholarship applications are reviewed by the WAAW foundation Scholarship Committee, and awards are announced at the end of January for the scholarship year. WAAW will start accepting applications from October 1, 2011.

Please complete all sections of the application form and submit all required materials to WAAW foundation by December 15, 2011. Completed application forms and supporting documents must be submitted electronically.
