Gingerbread House School, an Accra-based Montessori Nursery School, has received accreditation from the Montessori Evaluation and Accreditation Board (MEAB) in the United Kingdom.

The school, which was established in August 1998, first got its accreditation from the Montessori Centre International (MCI) in London, UK in 2002.

The Director of the school, Madam Martina Biney, said for the school to get accreditation from MEAB, which was the leading Montessori accreditation body in UK, “is a testament to the happy and confident manner in which the children go about the daily business of constructing themselves”.

She said she was pleased to receive the award on behalf of her team and that “it validates all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes”.

Madam Biney said the school was committed to the delivery of high quality Montessori education with its UK-trained teachers, “leading the learning in a superb prepared learning environment”.

She said the school would continue to strive for excellence in its daily practice.
