The seasonal water shortage which has rocked Sunyani and its environs for the past six years, is likely to happen again in the coming dry season, experts have warned. However, it was gathered that the government has struck a deal with Lemna Incorporated of USA to construct a dam at Tanoso, as a source of water supply for the people of Sunyani. Last year, the Ghana Water Company constructed some bore holes to supplement water supply in the town but these cannot yield enough water to meet the demand in the town.
