Members of ECOWAS are holding negotiations on the Economic Partnership Agreement with the bid to signing it at the ECOWAS level in October. To this end, the government has promised that no agreement will be signed to the disadvantage of Ghanaian exporters.

The Minister of Trade and Industry said this at the Meet-the-Press Series in Accra.  Miss Tetteh said in order to ensure that local exporters are protected, the EPAs will be signed with the development programme to provide financial assistance to help businesses.
