Members of Bolgatanga, Nangodi, Bongo and Tongo (BONABOTO) Students Union of University College of Education, Winneba, have congratulated Mr Mark Woyongo, on his appointment as Upper East Regional Minister.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Mr Moses Adukmolko, President and Mr David Kpalbil, Secretary of the Union copied to Ghana News Agency in Bolgatanga on Friday.
They appealed to Mr Woyongo to bring his rich experience to bear on the development of the Region and pledged to give him the necessary support to accelerate socio-economic development in the Region.
The statement appealed to people in the Region especially politicians, to forget about their differences for the sake of the Region's development.
It called on people in the area especially Bawku to eschew violence, since there was no way development could take place in an atmosphere of violence.
