The American Chamber of Commerce calls on President

Executive members of the American Chamber of Commerce (Ghana) have paid a courtesy call on the President, Prof John Evans Atta Mills at the Castle, Osu.

The president of the Chamber, Ms Mona Boyd, said the purpose of their meeting with the President was to congratulate him for winning the Presidency and to establish the primary objective of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana.

She said the executive members of the chamber asked President Mills' government to help ensure that the Chamber has opened dialogue with his administration, called on and included when decision are to be made.

The executive secretary, Mr Simon Madjie disclosed that members have fruitful discussions with the President, tabling their expectations and the role they expect government to play to ensure that businesses flourish in Ghana. President Mills on his part used the opportunity to spell out his expectation of businesses in Ghana and his plans to ensure positive economic growth.

According to Mr Madjie, the American Chamber of Commerce is interested in having Ghanaian businesses who are interested in partnering American businesses on board.
