Gradually but surely, the Ghana Olympic Committee's (GOC) dream to realize a ¢5,000 target for its sponsorship program for the forthcoming Olympic Games is coming to fruition.
Their latest donor, Modern Automobile Services MAS/YAMA, sole distributors of Foton range of vehicles in Ghana, yesterday made the GOC richer with a GH¢5,000 cash donation and a GH¢900 worth of motorbikes at the company's premises in Accra.
The Managing Director of the company, Somad Musah Alhassan pointed out that the importance associated with participating in Olympic Games prompted his outfit to support Ghana's participation in the forthcoming Beijing Games.
In her acceptance words, the treasurer of GOC, Mrs Elizabeth King, thanked the donors profusely for the gesture saying, “We know the cash donation will go a long way in motivating our boxers and athletes.
The motorbikes will facilitate our errands,” she thanked the benefactors.
