Kotoko Clash With Lions
14.05.2008 LISTEN

Third-placed Kpando Heart of Lions will this evening battle league leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their 18th week outstanding league match at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.

Though five points presently separate the two teams, both clubs have sworn to win this game in order to brighten their chances of winning this year's Onetouch premier league.

Already off-the-field incidents that characterize matches of this nature have begun with Lions drawing the first blood.

They promised to give the league leaders a sound beating.

Ironically, Coach Bashiru Hayford, who was the Head Coach of Lions when an imminent defeat by the Kpando lads forced Kotoko to walk off the field in the 'yenbo biom' fiasco, has at the moment found himself in the camp of the Porcupine Warriors.

Both sides will welcome their players with the Black Stars such as Edmund Owusu Ansah, John Boye and Osei Banahene of Lions and Harrison Afful, Francis Akwaffo and Eric Bekoe of Asante Kotoko.

The match was originally scheduled for last Sunday but had to be postponed due to the two team's contribution of the highest number of players to the Black Stars.
