The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced an extension of the deadline for members to pay their dues, citing technical challenges affecting the payment process.
In a statement signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party explained that its IT Directorate is actively working to resolve the issues that have slowed down the system.
Given the disruptions, the party has directed all polling station election committees to ensure that proof of dues payment is not used as a basis for disqualifying any prospective candidate.
The statement further instructed the committees to properly document both members who have paid their dues and those who are yet to do so.
It also noted that the National Secretariat will release an official list of members who are in good standing after completing their dues payments.
