Four people have been arrested by the police for their alleged complicity in the death of 15-year-old Esther Amoatemaa through abortion.

The suspects are Abena Nyame, mother of the deceased, Kofi Tahiru, the prime suspect who impregnated Amoatemaa, Adwoa Kwaago and Adwoa Konadu.

Opanin Kwadwo Agyei, father of the deceased told newsmen at Beposo that her daughter complained of stomach ache last Monday so he took her to the Nsuta health centre where the deceased confessed to being pregnant and that the four suspects had given her certain concoctions mixed with Coca Cola to drink to abort the pregnancy.

Opanin Agyei said the condition of the deceased deteriorated so he was advised to take her to Asante-Mampong District Hospital where she died last Wednesday.

Assistant Superintendent of Police, Stephen Kwasi Kwakye, the Mampong District Police Commander confirmed the arrest of the four suspects and said the case was under investigation.
