Interior Minister Henry Quartey has cautioned the Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, over his allegations of secret recruitment of NPP members into the security services.

The Minority Leader alleged that each parliamentary candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been given thirty (30) slots to fill the security services with their own people.

The Interior Minister has denied the allegations, describing them as baseless and untrue.

In an interview on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, the Minister recounted the effects of these allegations on the security agencies.

He explained that Ato Forson's claims are misleading, stressing that no candidate has been given such slots.

To him, these allegations are a ploy to mar the campaign of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

"Recruitment means a lot to people. So, if his candidate has 30 slots and it doesn't benefit them, they won't do the campaign again. If this is a strategy to mar Bawumia's campaign, it will not work," he stated.
