The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo has accused the state-owned Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) of sabotaging the Vice President, Dr. Mahamaadu Bawumia.
According to him, some elements in GBC are against the Vice President’s vision for Ghanaians.
“During the broadcast, of Dr. Bawumia’s address, it was clear to me that some persons with the GBC wanted to sabotage him. The disconnection of the feed was terrible and if I have powers like Koku Anyidoho, by now, heads may be rolling”, Kofi Akpaloo spoke on Asempa FM.
On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, delivered an address to outline his vision for the country if given the nod in the upcoming general elections.
In his address, Dr. Bawumia shared what he themed as ‘Ghana’s Next Chapter: Selfless Leadership and Bold Solutions for the Future.’
The two-hour lecture saw Dr. Bawumia make some pronouncements and pledges that he believes will move the country forward.
However, the live programme was not broadcasted by the State broadcasters, GBC raising concerns about the actions of the management of the network.
