The Director of Communications at Jubilee House, Eugene Arhin, has dismissed social media commentary suggesting that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is supporting Dormaahene in an alleged attempt to undermine the Asantehene.
Mr Arhin categorically refuted these claims, labeling them as distorted fabrications from some individuals' imaginations.
He urged the public to disregard such baseless rumors and treat them with the contempt they deserve.
Mr Arhin emphasised that at no point has President Akufo-Addo held secret meetings with Dormaahene to support any actions against the Asantehene.
In a Facebook post, he clarified that no such meeting has occurred and assured the public that it never will.
Mr Arhin highlighted the President's consistent positive working relationships with all Chiefs since assuming office in January 2020 and affirmed that this cooperation will continue until the end of Akufo-Addo's mandate in January 2025.
The ongoing feud between Asantehene and Dormaahene revolves around the Dormaahene's objections to the extent of Asantehene's control over certain paramount chiefs in regions beyond Ashanti, including Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Western, and Oti regions.
The Asanteman council asserts that the Dormaa stool was elevated to the status of a paramount chief by the Asantehene. The situation has created tension and disagreements between the two traditional leaders.
