The NDC Bono East Communications Bureau led by Comrade Suleman Mohammed-Mustapha and his Deputy, Comrade Sulemana Abubakar on Saturday 19th August, 2023 organised a *Peace Building Orientation* for members of the Techiman North and South Constituencies Communications Teams at the NDC Bono East Regional Party Headquarters - Techiman.

In his welcoming address, the Regional Communications Officer for the NDC in Bono East Region advised members to desist from inheriting perceived enemies of members and rather try as they can to make peace between party faithfuls.

He added that members should work with each other to achieve the party's major aim - winning Elections 2024 - hence no need to be friends before being Comrades. In doing this, tolerance, obedience, respect, forgiveness, and commitment are needed at all times having in mind *Agenda 11/11* mantra of the Party in the region.

He ended his address by cautioning members of the Communications Teams to refrain from Anti-Party conducts, which always lead to derailing gains made by the Party towards achieving *Agenda 11/11.*

He ended his speech by telling members of the two constituencies that the Party is ready to sanction any member who engages in activities that bring the name of the Party into disrepute and ridicule.

Contributing to the peace building process, Hon. Phillip Oppong Amponsah - Former MCE for Techiman Municipal Assembly - did not mince words when he told communicators that they are not part of the feuding factions in the Techiman South brouhaha hence should concentrate on their core mandate to project and defend the Party at all times.

In addressing the gathering, the Techiman North Constituency Communications Officer, Comrade Adom Kwabena Johnson was emphatic on the difficulty we face as communicators when there are misunderstandings in the party and took the opportunity to call on members to avoid activities which lead to divisions in the party.

During his turn to address the gathering, the Techiman South Constituency Communications Officer, Comrade Hassan Issah Balluka promised to lead his Team to sustain the peace building process towards recapturing the Techiman South Parliamentary seat from the NPP come Elections 2024.

In a related development, Hon. Kassim, the assemblyman for the Twumia Koasse Electoral Area, represented the Parliamentary Candidate for Techiman South - Dr. Christopher Baasongti Beyere, who is currently out of the country for further studies. He admonished members to unite towards a common goal. He told members that Dr. Christopher Baasongti Beyere is extremely happy for the peace building process and pledges to meet the Communications Teams when he finally arrives in Ghana by the end of August 2023.

Representing the MP for Techiman North, who doubles as the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the Constituency - Hon Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare was Comrade Adom Kwabena Johnson. He informed the gathering of Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu Adjare's plans for the Communications Teams, hence the need for a united house.

Comrades Obeng Agyenim Boateng and Isaac Donkor, Bono East Deputy Regional Youth Organiser and Deputy Regional Secretary respectively shared their views on the discussion tabled.

There was an open forum, and members poured out their worries, which were well noted and some addressed. The others will be addressed by leadership at the appropriate time.

In his closing remarks, Comrade Suleman Mohammed-Mustapha thanked both Teams for their attendance and contribution to a successful session. He further pledged to address their grievances using the party structures.
