FIESTA Royale Hotel, formerly Cresta Royale Hotel, at Dzorwulu in Accra, has held its annual end-of-year dinner and staff awards night, where 12 employees were honoured for outstanding performance.

Magdalene Aboagye, emerged as the overall best employee for 2006, while Dennis Brown and Ophelia Ansu-Yeboah, were adjudged the first and second runners-up respectively.

Sajid Ali Khan, General Manager of the hotel, urged the employees to work together as a team and ensure that the values of the hotel are adhered to in order to maintain and improve upon the successes chalked within the three years of its existence.

He noted that over the past year, there had been many special events that had proved that the hotel could maintain a standard that can challenge the best in the hospitality business, stressing that the awards that it received testified to the many good they provide at the hotel.

Mr. Khan noted that the respect and love among the staff transcend to the clients because the workers are imbued with that and has become part of their daily working activity.

'That applies to our clients too. When you are able to develop that respect among the staff and it permeates to the entire organisation, then that respect will transcend to the clients', he said.

Mrs. Patience Dzikunoo, Financial Controller of the hotel, congratulated all the award winners and urged them not to relent on their efforts, but work harder to achieve more honours. She challenged the rest to emulate those whose work had been recognised by management.
