The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Joseph Yamin has embarked on communal labour by identifying and weeding around all abandoned projects started by the previous Mahama administration in the Ashanti Region.

He has explained the rationale behind the exercise.

In a conversation with Sompa news, Mr. Yamin said governance is continuity but successive governments continue to abandon projects that were built and completed by previous administrations.

He said the Akufo-Addo's government has abandoned numerous projects initiated by the NDC government with taxpayers' mony.

“This government is very wicked to the people of Ghana especially those in the Ashanti Region. People complain about the abandoned project, yet this government is adamant. They will not add up nor complete the existing ones. There are a lot of projects abandoned, Fomena, and Kumawu hospitals are left in the bush. Apagya, Fumso, Kwabenafosu E-block schools are left to rot in the bush," he laments.

According to him, the NPP government then in opposition criticised the Mahama administration for lack of projects.

Mr Yamin indicated that he together with his team has started weeding around all abandoned projects for Ghanaians to see for themselves.

“They say to see is believing, so together with the regional executives, we joined the constituency executive in the Adansi to work on the abandoned projects.
