Wake up from your slumber sir, so much despondency everywhere — Sam George slams Akufo-Addo

Sam Nartey George, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency has called on President Akufo-Addo to be sensitive to events in the country and find the remedy.

According to him, the President and his officials must rise and assume responsibility following the chaos in recent times.

In a tweet on Wednesday, July 13, sighted by this portal, Sam George stated that citizens have lost faith in the government and that it is time they wake up from slumber.

“President Nana Akufo-Addo and his appointees need to smell the coffee and rise to the task we have entrusted them. There is too much despondency everywhere. Wake up from your slumber Sir!” he wrote.

In reaction to a statement, supporter of the ruling government questions why he (Sam George) always criticizes the government even when government lacks the needed revenue to cushion Ghanaians.

The vocal lawmaker dismissed the argument, claiming that the current administration has received three times the revenue of the previous administration (Mahama).

“Weak argument. This govt has received more than 3x what Mahama received in revenue. What have they done with what they have received? No govt in our 65-year history has had the kind of revenue they've gotten. You should bow your head in shame if you still defend this mess,” he reacted.
