Gov’t not communicating achievements of Akufo-Addo well - Stephen Amoah

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso Constituency, Hon. Stephen Amoah has bemoaned the inability of government communicators to communicate the achievements of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the citizenry very well.

According to the MP who is a member of the finance committee of Parliament, the President has done very well since assuming the top political role when compared to past governments.

Speaking to Asaase News in an interview, Stephen Amoah said the success stories of the Akufo-Addo-led government are mostly not appreciated by the citizenry because communicators are not talking about it much.

“No government has done many of the things that President Akufo-Addo has done, but we don’t see it being properly reported and communicated… I am not criticising anybody, but this is fact,” the Nhyiaeso MP said.

Hon. Stephen Amoah continued, “If the citizens get to understand the impact of inflation everywhere, they would understand but we don’t see this government communicating any of this.”

This is a view shared by many Members of Parliament and top officials of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

There is the belief that on the back of the many good things done by President Akufo-Addo, the NPP would be able to break the eight-year cycle of government at the end of the 2024 general elections.
