Thank you for the wonders of Ghanaian culture, tradition — South Africa's Ramaphosa to Akufo-Addo

The President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa has described as wonders the culture and tradition he experienced during his two day state visit to Ghana.

The South African leader paid a 2-day state visit to Ghana over the weekend and visited the 50th Celebration of Nana Otuo Sriboe II of Juaben in the company of President Nana Addo Dankwa-Akuffo Addo.

Amazed by the traditions and culture displayed during the celebration, H.E Cyril Ramaphosa says he is returning to his country with exciting memories of Ghanaian culture and tradition.

“This morning, Your Excellency, you took me to Kumasi to show me the wonders of Ghanaian culture and spectacular traditions during the 50th Celebration of Nana Otuo Sriboe II of Juaben.

“I was deeply moved and impressed to see how Ghana has continued to keep true to the traditions of old, traditions that span generations and generations,” President Cyril Ramaphosa said at a state dinner put together in his honour on Saturday, December 4.

The South Africa president added, “I will go back to South Africa with vivid memories of a people who are together in the very peaceful spirit celebrating, and I was truly honoured and humbled that you did take me to see the wonders of Ghanaian culture and tradition.”

At the same event, H.E Cyril Ramaphosa extolled President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for being recognised as the 2021 Forbes Africa of the Year.

He said, “We are proud of this recognition, Your Excellency, because it speaks of your commitment, it speaks of your creativity, your innovation, and your clear strategic vision of what should happen in your own country, as well as on our beloved African continent.

“The recognition by the magazine is about your vision, not only for Ghana but for the people of our continent as well.”
