The New Juaben North Municipality has distributed LED bulbs to institutions within its catchment area on Thursday 15th October, 2021 at Effiduase.
The initiative is to help provide light for the institution's offices as well as the public at large.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Madam Comfort Asante stressed the Assembly's commitment to improving the security of the area hence the need to provide lighting system at all vantage points within the municipality.
She emphasised that her outfit has put in place a lot of mechanisms to provide the people in the municipality with all the needed security to boost economic growth.
She, however, urged the public to join in the fight against crime by feeding security agencies with the needed suspected information to act on them accordingly.
The Ghana National Fire Service, Police Service, Oyoko Methodist SHS, Pope John SHS, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, SDA College of Education, Ghana SHS (GHANASS), Koforidua Technical SHS (KOTECH) and many other institutions were beneficiaries of the donation.
Leaders of beneficiaries in an interview with the media were grateful to the MCE and the Assembly for such initiative and was optimistic it would go a long way to deal with the issue of darkness at night.
The presentation comes a day after the MCE was overwhelmingly confirmed 100% by Assembly members and government appointees to continue her second term as President representative in the municipality.
