MTN Ghana has donated Ghc100,000 to the Otumfuo Educational Fund.

The donation is part of the company's resolve to support the Asante Monarch in his quest to make many students further their education.

It also forms part of activities marking MTN’s 25th Anniversary and 11th AshantiFest.

Led by the Chief Executive Officer, Selorm Adadevoh, MTN also expressed gratitude to Asantehene for his advice and directions which has enhanced the company's success stories over the years.

Mr. Adadevoh told journalists that with education being one of their three pillars under the MTN Foundation, the donation is a token of the company's support to the King’s good works.

“We’ve seen a lot of the works the fund has been doing in the education space. Education is one of our three pillars in the MTN Foundation, and we believe in all the work that’s going on so this is our token to support Otumfuo’s efforts in this peace and we are excited to be part of the education investments in Ashanti,” he noted.

The MTN CEO said the annual one month celebration of AshantiFest is the company’s way of saying ‘Thank You’ to Ashanti for the loyalty and support.

He assured that MTN would consider Asantehene’s advice to them on the AshantiFest and implement them next year.
