Founder and leader of the New Jerusalem Chapel at Kumasi Sokoban Ampayoo in the Ashanti Region, Bishop Dr. Dr.John Yaw Adu has stressed the need for Christians to turn a new leaf with the resurrection power of Jesus Christ who shed His blood for the atonement of sins.

In a sermon to end Easter celebration on Sunday April 4, 2021, Bishop Adu observed that the death of Christ should be seen as a victory for the world.

He said it's observance should be treated as such, adding that, aside the blood which set mankind free from the bondage of Satan, it also empowers one to get closer to God.

According to the respected Bishop, as victors through His blood, "we have no cause to panic or give up our hope in time of our challenges as Lord had made it clear in the book of Psalm 91 that He will never forsake us, nor allow Satan to devour us since He is ever ready to protect us even at death point."

Bishop Dr Adu stated, "we are in the era where pagan worshippers continue to oppose the celebrations of both Easter and Christmas, stressing that whether these queer elements, believe it or not, the occasions are cherished and considered in the Christian circles as sacred and would continue to celebrate and spread the word of God across the whole universe to enhance the Great Commission that directed men of God to go out there to preach the word, heal and baptize those who will believe in His name."

He urges Christians to renew their faith in the Lord as the world celebrate and pay special tribute to His death and the redemption of man and turn away from their sinful nature.
