Don't Drag SGF into Your Inordinate Ambition - APC Warns Mischief Makers

A leading support group of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Mandate Defenders has warned some vested interests and lobbyists to stop dragging President Muhammadu Buhari and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha to their crude and bitter struggles for power and position in one of the Federal Government's agencies.

The group was reacting to a fake online news report accusing the SGF of not executing Mr President's directive to suspend the Director-General of a government agency based in Enugu.

In a statement released to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday by the national publicity secretary of the group, Mr. Ifeanyi Emeka, the group said any correspondence between Mr. President and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is a classified and administrative one which is not meant to be used in promoting the inordinate ambition of some persons who wants to attain certain positions at all cost.

We are not against any group trying to grab power using their own means but attempting to cause friction and disinformation between Mr. President, the SGF and the Nigerian people in their bitter struggle for position is what we will never allow.

Besides, the SGF as the coordinator and supervisor of government policies and programmes takes and executes directives from Mr. President and will never yield to the antics of influence peddlers and lobbyists who thinks they can use the media to coarse the SGF to do their bidding.

While we urge members of the public to ignore the sponsored fake news report, we call on the elements behind the campaign of calumny and disaffections in the system to discontinue their action before we take commensurate action in that regard.
