The flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Hon. David Apasera is set to file his nomination to contest the 2020 presidential elections at the Electoral Commission’s headquarters today.
At the party’s national Congress on September 30, Hon David Apasera amassed a total of 1315 votes to beat Mr. Sampson Asaki Awingobit who pulled 789 votes and Rev. Samuel Agyei who also gathered 465 votes.
With just a few months to the December 7 polls, the PNC flagbearer and the party is taking an important step today to officially file their nomination to take part in the elections.
“The Presidential Candidate of the PNC for the December 7th Elections, Hon David Apasera would be filing his nominations today (8th October 2020) at the offices of the Electoral Commission in Accra. This follows the successful nomination and approval of Dr. Divine Ayivor as the Vice Presidential Candidate”, a press statement from the PNC has said.
The filing of the presidential nominations would be followed by the official outdooring and introduction of the Running Mate and the official launching of the Party’s 2020 Manifesto.

PNC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE TO FILE HIS NOMINATION TODAY
The Presidential Candidate of the PNC for the December 7th Elections, Hon David Apasera would be filing his nominations today (8th October, 2020) at the offices of the Electoral Commission in Accra. This follows the successful nomination and approval of Dr Divine Ayivor as the Vice Presidential Candidate.
It would be recalled that barely week ago at the National Delegates Congress of the PNC, Hon David Apasera chalked a landslide victory to lead the party as its Presidential Candidate. Since then, the Party has been busily working around the clock to put things in shape as the general elections draw closer.
Today’s filing of the presidential nominations would be followed by the official outdooring and introduction of the Running Mate and the Official Launching of the Party’s 2020 Manifesto.
