The national football team the Black Queens have qualified for the African women's championships slated for Nigeria later this year without playing a single game.
The Queens were set to play their counterparts from Congo but the Congolese failed to show up for the game in Obuasi.
The Ghanaian team had been preparing in earnest for the tie but botched travelling arrangements for the visiting team meant the tie could not be cleared.
According to Joy Sports reports in Obuasi, the Ghanaian players were disappointed as they took on an Ashanti regional select side instead in a friendly match.
Due to the Congolese's failure to show up for the first leg, the second leg tie which was set for Brazzaville in a fortnight will not take place.
