Jackie Chan offered reassurance to his admirers following concerns over his appearance in recently released photographs earlier this year.

The renowned actor and stuntman, famous for his roles in iconic movies like "Police Story," "Rush Hour," and "Who Am I?" was captured sporting greying hair, sparking speculations about his well-being.

Chan has now addressed these worries on social media, sharing a montage of images commemorating his 70th birthday this week, highlighting various milestones in his career.

Addressing his 6.2 million Instagram followers, he clarified that his aged appearance was simply a guise for an upcoming film role.

"Just recently, many friends saw some recent snapshots of me online, and they were all fretting about my health," the luminary conveyed. "I want to reassure everyone – no cause for alarm! It's all part of a character portrayal for my latest cinematic venture. The role necessitates me to don white hair, a white beard, and an aged countenance."

"Throughout my career, I've always been eager to experiment for a role, whether it entails daring stunts or transforming my appearance for a character," he added.

Before attaining global recognition with Rumble In The Bronx in 1995, Chan starred in over 30 martial arts flicks in his homeland of Hong Kong.

His repertoire expanded to include Hollywood blockbusters like the Rush Hour trilogy, Shanghai Noon and its follow-up Shanghai Knights co-starring Owen Wilson, Around The World In 80 Days, and the beloved Kung Fu Panda series alongside Jack Black.

Although the honorary Oscar recipient didn't divulge details about the specific film project necessitating his aged appearance, he is currently involved in multiple productions – including reprising his role as Mr. Han in the forthcoming Karate Kid sequel alongside Ralph Macchio, the star of the original 1984 version.

In his social media post, he expressed gratitude for "every cherished moment" of his six-decade journey in show business and pondered his milestone of turning 70, remarking, "I'm already 70 years old? After recovering from the initial shock, I'm reminded of a wise saying by my elder brother, Sammo Hung: 'To grow old is a blessing.'"

"Especially for us stunt performers, we often overlook the privilege of aging," he concluded.
