The Channel O Music Video Awards red carpet is always a sight to see, from the clear hits to the major misses.
Fashion and more fashion is the name of the game and Africa has all the colours to make for a very interesting night.
Last year, the red carpet was taken on by a very fashionable Channel O presenter, Dineo Moeketsi, who got to chat to all the artistes who came out to celebrate African music.
This year she is accompanied by Nigerian R&B sensation Banky W and they will be taking on the main awards show which will be broadcast live on Friday, 11 November 2011 at 21:00 CAT.
This year's Channel O Music Video Awards red carpet will be taken on by Angolan Channel O VJ turned Big Brother superstar Weza and Tanzanian beauty and new Channel O VJ Jokate.
Weza will be on the main red carpet to get up close and personal interviews with artistes and celebrities, while Jokate will venture out to the pre-drinks area as well as back stage at the awards.
Weza joined Channel O as a host on ' Top Mais', a music chart show that celebrates both local and internationally based Hip-hop and R&B artists, the crème de le crème that Mozambique and Angola has to offer, and this year sees 24-year-old university graduate Jokate Urban Mwegelo join the O family.
For JK, as she is also known, being part of the channel is a great opportunity.
'This is a chance for me to promote African talent and present it to the world. I am looking forward to interviewing African superstars, building my brand across Africa, inspiring young people to explore and be better with their talents.' To her, Africa is the best place to be.
'Everything is happening in this continent and everybody wants to be a part of this growth and the possibilities it holds,' she adds.
