OFFICIAL: Roy Arthur Named As AshantiGold Sporting Director

Former BA United Chief Executive Officier, Roy Arthur has been appointed Sporting Director for Ashanti Gold.

Arthur is a renowned football administrator in the country and has worked with a number of clubs.

However, majority shareholder of the club, Dr Kweku Frimpong has named his, Emmanuel Frimpong as the Club’s CEO.

The appointments of the two follows the resignation of Fredrick Acheampong who relinquished his job as the Chief Executive Officer of the Club few days ago.

Arthur was in contention for the Central Regional Football Association Chairman, a position he missed out.

“Yes it is true, the appointment came on Thursday evening, we will meet the other management members and see the way forward,” Roy Arthur confirmed to Ghanasportsonline.com.

“I feel privileged to have this opportunity as the Sporting Director. I think its great, looking forward to this new giants challenge.

“I hope to help the team achieve more success in the future.”

Ashanti Gold already have an eye on this season’s Ghana Premier League.
