Goalkeeper Felix Annan says he will continue to fight to regain his starting role at Asante Kotoko.

The highly-rated goalkeeper started the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Porcupine Warriors until Matchday 5 when he asked for permission to wed his sweetheart.

Upon returning, second goalkeeper Kwame Baah who slotted in in his absence had impressed and benched him in the next match which was against bitterest rivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Matchday 6.

Since then, Felix Annan was forced to adapt to bench-warming duties in the Ghana Premier League until it was eventually suspended as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

Speaking in an interview on the Kotoko Express App, the 26-year-old goalkeeper says he will continue fighting for his place just as he had done in most parts of his career.

“All my years at Kotoko and my playing career, I have been fighting for positions. So far as am in the Club, I am going to fight and give my best every minute I step onto that field”, Annan shared.

He added, “For me is not a problem at all, is all about keeping on with my training and I will keep on fighting until I am no more in the Club.”
