Black Stars head coach, Charles Kwablah Akonnor has shared hand sanitizers to hawkers in Accra today to help them protect themselves against the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

The Covid-19 which has been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) was first recorded in China but has since spread to over 180 countries worldwide.

As of Friday, March 27, 2020, the number of confirmed cases globally has surged to over 580,000 while more than 26,822 have lost their lives.

Though 131,428 have recovered, it remains deadly, forcing governments and health experts to direct the public to practice strict personal hygiene by constantly washing hands and using hand sanitizers.

As a way of giving back to society, Coach CK Akonnor shared hand sanitizers to hawkers in Accra earlier this afternoon. According to him, this is a time where everyone needs to stay safe to ensure we all come out healthy.

In Ghana, there have been 136 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 3 deaths.
