Black Stars Management Committee Chairman, George Amoako, has dismissed claims suggesting that CK Akunnor does not have the requisite qualities to succeed as Black Stars coach.
The 45-year-old has been handed a two year deal by the Ghana Football Association following the exit of Kwesi Appiah.
Mr Amoako sacked the former Black Stars skipper when he was in charge of Asante Kotoko after failing to meet the target of the club.
However, in an interview with Nhyira FM, the veteran football said there is no rift between him and Akunnor pledging that they will work in harmony.
“The environment is different now,” he said.
He also added that he has no doubt about the requisite qualities of the former Hearts of Oak trainer.
“I don’t have doubt about his competence. I know he will deliver and with the support of Ghanaians, I know things will be done properly,” he added.
