Black Stars, South Africa Pitch Invader Fined Ghc2,400

The University of Cape Coast Police have charged Awal Suleman Ghc2.400 for interrupting Black Stars, South Africa 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The 26-year-old invaded the pitch on 83rd minute of the game.

He was caught and arrested by the security officers at the stadium and was sent to the University of Cape Coast police station.

Awal was sent to court but was granted bail on Friday, November 15.

Speaking to Joy News why he interrupted the pitch, he said he was only on the pitch to snap a picture with his idol, Thomas Partey.

However, at the Cape Coast court today, Awal admitted he mistakes and apologized to the court.

He has been fined Ghc2, 400 and was charged with offensive disturbance and resisting arrest.

Awal also signed a bond of good behaviour.
The Athletico Madrid ace met Awal and presented a Black Stars signed jersey.
