The Black Stars of Ghana will commence the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) by playing as hosts to the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Friday, October 15, 2019.

After failing at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt this year, the West African Country is hoping to have another bite at continental glory in 2021 when the prestigious tournament comes around.

First, though, the Stars will need to go through the qualifiers where they have been pitted in Group C against South Africa, Sudan, and Sao Tome.

A total of 48 teams will be involved in this stage of the qualifiers with the first round of matches coming in next month.

Ghana, four-time champions will welcome their counterpart from South Africa to either the Baba Yara Sports Stadium or the Accra Sports Stadium. The Ghana Football Association is expected to confirm before October ends.

Four days after the South Africa game, Ghana will make the trip to Sao Tome for her second match of the qualifiers to the 2021 AFCON tournament which will be staged in Cameroon.

November 19, 2019 - Sao Tome e Principe vs Ghana (A)

September 4, 2020 - Ghana vs Sudan (H)
September 8, 2020 - Sudan vs Ghana (A)
October 10, 2020 - South Africa vs Ghana (A)
November 13, 2020 - Ghana vs Sao Time e Principe (H)
