His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has been spotted in a wild jubilation after Tottenham Hotspurs defeated Ajax 3:2 in the second league of the Uefa Champions League in Amsterdam.
The Eredivisie side pipped the Hotspurs by a lone goal in the first league at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium last week Tuesday.
The English Premier League side looked down and out at halftime after skipper Matthijs de Ligt’s fifth-minute header and a superb 35th minute effort by Hakim Ziyech put Ajax in complete command of the tie having won the first leg 1-0 in London last week.
The celebratory mood in the jam-packed Johan Cruyff Arena turned to one of nailbiting tension after Lucas Moura scored twice in four minutes early in the second half to put Spurs within a goal of going through.
However, Ziyech hit the post for Ajax who appeared to have weathered the storm but the former PSG winger struck past Andre Onana to flatten the Ajax players and send the away fans into delirium to complete his hattrick on the night.
After the epic comeback, the first gentleman of the land couldn't hide his joy.
