Abdul Majeed Waris Scores As Nantes Suffers Defeat At Home

Abdul Majeed Waris was on the scoresheet for Nantes by scoring in their 4-2 defeat to Nimes in the French Ligue I.

The Ghanaian striker registered his fifth goal of the season from the spot after Khalifa Coulibaly had found the back of the net for the home team.

The 26-year-old and his teammates, however, threw away their two-goal lead by conceding four goals in the second half with Baptiste Guillaume, Antonin Bobichon, Jordan Ferri and Sadia Thioub getting on the score sheet for Nimes.

The defeat keeps Nantes at the 15th position on the League table with 24 points after 23 rounds of matches.

FC Nantes also gave Emiliano Sala an emotional sending off.
