Ghana veteran coach, Bashir Hayford has been appointed the head trainer of the Black Queens.

Multiple reports suggest that the Ebusua Dwarfs trainer is currently with the team at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence in Prampram preparing them for the forthcoming African Women Nations Cup which will be hosted by Ghana later in November this year.

However, the former AshantiGold SC trainer will continue in his role as the head coach of Ghana Premier League club Ebusua Dwarfs.

Mercy Tagoe, who guided the team to win the 2018 WAFU Zone B Cup following the departure of Didi Dramani, will now revert to her deputy role.

Hayford's appointment is the first major one done by the Liaison Team since they were handed the mandate to manage all the national teams following the injunction placed on the Ghana FA.
