The FIFA/CAF Liason team has named a squad of 33 players ahead of the 2018 African Women's Championship (AWC) that will be hosted in Ghana from November 17-December 1, 2018.
In a statement signed and released by Francis Oti-Akenteng, a member of the Liason team, indicated that the provisional Black Queens squad will kick off residential camping on August 2, 2018, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Accra.
However, the squad will be reduced to 23 during the time of camping by Black Queens coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo.
The 2018 AWC will be contested by Ghana (hosts), Algeria, Cameroon, former champions Equatorial Guinea, Mali, South Africa, Zambia and 10-time winners Nigeria.
