Yankey's double give Vipers win

Cape Coast, Sept. 11 GNA- A spot kick taken by midfielder, Francis Yankey, in the 89th-minute enabled Cape Coast Venomous Vipers to beat visiting Tarkwa United 2-1 in their Division One League match played at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium on Saturday. Vipers who attacked from start, scored the opener through playmaker Francis Yankey, when he headed home a cross from Joe Aminu in the fourth minute.

Tarkwa United hit back and forced series of corner kicks but failed to utilize them.

Back from recess, United resumed strongly and pinned vipers to their own half. Their attack paid off in the 76th-minute when Frimpong Manso levelled up in a goalmouth scramble. The game then became balanced as the ball swung from one end to the other until the 89th-minute, when Vipers earned a penalty for Yankey to score.
