Ghanaian forward Abdul Khalid Basit has expressed his delight on winning the Kosovo Cup with FC Prishtina.

The former Ghana youth international returned from injury to score in the final as FC Prishtina beat Vellaznimi on penalties to secure Europa Cup qualification.

Following the success chalked by the forward and his teammates, Basit shared his excitement after going through several injuries during the campaign.

'It was a good final for me particularly as it has been a bit difficult, I had battles with injuries this season and I am excited I returned to lead my side to win the Cup,' Basit told footballmadeinghana.com

'Vellaznimi struggled in the league and we also lost the top spot to Drita so each side needed a win to book a place in the Europa League and we did it in grand style. This is my second trophy in Kosovo and I am pleased with it.'

With the club gaining a place in the Europa Cup, the Ghanaian is looking forward to participating in Europe.

'Last season we were eliminated in the first round by Swedish champions Norrkoping but this coming season we want to go as far as we can'

'I believe we have good materials and we cause some upsets in the competition as we are gradually gaining experience in it.'

Abdul Khalid Basit is at the club with Ghanaian compatriots, Abdul Basit formerly of Drewams FC, central defender Ben Nash Quansah as well as ex-MTN Soccer Academy winner Arago Jamal.
