Kwesi Nyantakyi Excludes U-17 Physical Trainer From Contingents to UAE

Physical trainer for Ghana’s U-17 team, Nana Osei has been dropped from the contingent who left for UAE (Abu Dhabi) for their training tour ahead of the U-17 FIFA World Cup in India.

The Black Starlets team left the shores of the country for a two-week training exercise in Abu Dhabi.

According to Nana Osei who has been keeping the team in shape with fitness exercise for the past three months could not make the trip after he was excluded from the team and was told the instruction came from the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

“I have been with the team for the past three months, I was brought under the recommendation of Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin,” he told Peace FM in an interview.

“I was initially told I would be travelling with the team because the Coach made it clear my services will be needed in terms of keeping the players fit only for me to be given back my passport when we got to the airport,

“According to officials, they were asked by the FA President to drop me from the team.”

The Black Starlets team are in Group A with host India, USA and Columbia.
