JUL 5, 2017 LISTEN

Forbes Minigolf club of Ghana has qualified as part of the teams that will be playing in the WMF world adventure golf masters and WMF world Minigolf championship which comes off in September 2017 in Nin, Croatia.

Ghana will be the first African country to feature in a major global golf event which is a landmark for the country. Ghana will be fielding at least three teams with four players each.

The president of the Ghana mini golf federation who also doubles as the secretary general for Africa minigolf federation, Mr Talal Fattal, is optimistic that Ghana’s participation at the world level in golf competitions will position the country on the world map.

“The future is bright for Ghana minigolf,” the president said at the launch of the Forbes Minigolf club in Accra.

“We have achieved a lot and as the president of GMG, I am making sure that we roll out minigolf all over Ghana to be a beacon and an example of a successful lesser sport.

“I encourage more members to join us to let minigolf be seen and heard on the world map and African map.”

The Adventure masters will begin on September 11-15 whilst the world golf championships will start on September 20-24, 2017.
