More sacrifice: Bekwai Youth slaughter two rams for Black Stars semi

Following the Black Stars' authoritative 3-0 conquest of Syli Nationale in Sunday's quarter final game at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, Yalwa Base Youth , the Bekwai Zongo group which sacrificed a cow ahead of the game against Guinea, have done the ritual again.

This time, Yalwa Base have sacrificed two big rams to pray for victory for the national team as they prepare for Thursday's semi final against sensational hosts, Equatorial Guinea.

The Muslim dominated youth group say Allah (God) clearly listened to their prayers last time since he is the provider of luck and success, they will call on him again to help the Black Stars over the surprise Nzalang Nacional as a repeat of the 1992 final against Ivory Coast looms.

Allah, they insist is the father of all and as such any one who calls on him with a clean heart is provided what he wants, the reason they believe he will answer their prayers because they are calling on Allah with an open heart.

"For us, Allah is there for everyone except those who are arrogant. He is ready to provide for all his slaves and we are not exempted. When we offered our first sacrifice, we won 3-0. We are not saying we won because of the sacrifice but we believe Allah answered our prayers," Sheikh Ishaq Daabo, the leader of the group said.

"Offering sacrifice is part of every religion as Allah ordered Ibrahim (Abraham) to do. So we know it is something that Allah cherishes that is why we are bent on doing more for the team. We shall continue until the trophy finally comes home", Sheikh Daabo explained.

He added: "Last night, we offered these two rams as another sacrifice and the reactions of kids and the poor was marvelous. It will interest a lot of people to know that these rams were given to us by only two of our members.

"The poor and the orphans who were given the meat really appreciated the meat given them and we know Allah will provide us with the needed victory." Follow @thedonplato
