Volta Regional Division Two League in September

Ho, July 13, GNA - The Volta Regional Division Two League would commence on September 5, this year at all centres, according to a release signed by Mr Francis Dogbatse, Chairman of the Regional Football Association (RFA).

The release copied to the GNA Sports in Ho on Tuesday, said "registration was opened from Thursday 8th to Friday 30th July, 2004. The statement said each qualified Club was to pay a participation fee of 600,000 cedis while registration cards are available at the RFA Secretariat at 15,000 cedis each.

Mr Dogbatse said the RFA would undertake inspection of playing fields to determine their suitability or otherwise before the commencement of the season and advised Clubs to observe these directives for an uninterrupted development of football in the Region.

According to the release, a day's non-residential course would also be organised by the RFA for Division Two Club Team Managers, Secretaries and Coaches, to sensitise them on the laws of the game and the regulations of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on August 20th this year, at the RFA's Secretariat in Ho at 0900hrs prompt.

Meanwhile, Mr Walter Kokoroko has been appointed as the Acting Secretary of the RFA until a substantive replacement was made. The Clubs have therefore been accordingly warned to desist from transacting business with Mr Paul Nutsugah, the former Secretary, whose activities were incompatible with the laid down principles of the RFA. 13. 07 04
