Tema, March 28, GNA - Phil Leonard McCaulley scored 44 points to win this year's Tema Country Golf Club Captain's Prize competition played at Tema on Saturday. A. Rahim beat Frempong Tenkorang on count-back to take the second position with 42 points while M. Peruerett also beat A.K. Akaful on count-back after both had scored 41 points apiece, to take the fourth position.
Yaa Konadu Safo-Debrah won the Ladies event with 41 points, beating Beatrice Vetsche-Bempong on count-back while Esther Amedzro took the third position with 38 points with the fourth position going to Esi Cobbina with 36 points. Alex Yayra Fiagomey, Captain of Tema Country Golf Club, sponsored the one-day 18-hole Stanbleford competition opened to amateur golfers from Tema, Achimota, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim. Mr Fiagomey, Captain of Tema Golf Club asked golfers to impart the knowledge they have acquired into their children so that they can takeover from them.
