A peloton 95km race with intermittent break-aways from Buipe to Kintampo saw Isaac Sackey from Young Stars retain the Yellow Jersey for the third time at the sixth stage of the Cowbell National Cycling Tour of Ghana.

Sackey also added the White Jersey for being the youngest by time to arrive at the finishing line yesterday in a time of two hours, 37 minutes and three seconds.

Fellow team-mate, Samuel Anim, also retained the Green and Red jerseys, while the defending champion Henry Tetteh-Djangmah's Die Hard team took the Best Team prize for best performance.

The race started with 62 cyclists riding from Buipe through the highways of Ewrawura and Alhassan Kuraa, Kadelso, Potor, Gulumpe, Kawampe, Dawadawa One and Two to Cheranda.

The cyclists then journeyed on through the streets of Cheranda, about 40km to finishing point, with the duo of Emmanuel Sackey of All Stars and Henry Tetteh Djangmah of Die Hard breaking away from the chasing pack

The duo kept a distance afar from the peloton with 3km to finishing covering satellite communities including Babata Kuma and Kyeremankuma.

Emmanuel Sackey crossed the finishing line first followed by Djangmah, but in a race that cummulative time was of the very essence, his namesake Isaac of Young Stars was handed the Yellow Jersey for his cumulative time and points as was decided by the technical head led by Shaaban Mohammed.

The race now resumes in a 100km criterium circuit lap race in Kumasi today.
