LARYEA HAS SUFFFERED SEVERAL INJURIES Ghana international Laryea Kingston is set for a two-month spell on the sidelines after his Scottish Premier League side Hearts confirmed he has torn a hamstring.
The 28-year-old was stretchered off against St Mirren last Saturday moments after coming on as a substitute early in the second half.
Laryea underwent scans on Thursday in an Edinburgh hospital and the results have shown the full extent of the damage suffered.
He is now facing between six to eight weeks on the sidelines, as boss Csaba Laszlo confirmed to Hearts News on Friday.
"Laryea had a scan yesterday and the news isn't good," he said.
"He has torn his hamstring and this is disappointing for the player and the club.
"He has had a number of injury problems this season and this is another setback for him."
Csaba added: "I'm told we are looking at six to eight weeks out so if Laryea works hard he could be back playing an important role for the team in the last few games of the season."
The Black Stars midfielder will miss next month's 2010 joint Nations Cup/World Cup qualifier against Benin at home.
