O.B. Amoah Osei Bonsu Amoah, former deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sports has congratulated the Black Satellites for the sterling performance they put up at the African Youth Championship (AYC) in Rwanda.

According to him, the Satellites and the Ghana Football Association deserve commendation for making Ghana proud and as well qualifying for the FIFA U-20 youth championship slated for Egypt.

The Member of Parliament for Aburi/Nsawam said the Satellites should be motivated by the historic victory to train and prepare very well in order to win the world championship.

“They should be inspired by stars like Sulley Ali Muntari, Michael Essien, John Mensah, John Paintsil, Razak Pimpong and Emmanuel Pappoe who have since Argentina 2001 gone on to feature for the Black Stars in the Africa Nations and World Cup.

“Please be assured of our full support and prayers in the preparation towards conquering the world in Egypt,” he concluded.

Ghana silenced Cameroon 2-0 on Sunday to win the Africa Youth Championship hosted by Rwanda for the first time.

Ransford Osei scored a brace to clinch the title for the Black Satellites.
